Items We Accept
Please read carefully before preparing your items. This guide outlines what is eligible for sale at Utah Kids Market, including seasonal rules, condition standards, and preparation requirements. We want to ensure you do not spend time preparing items we are unable to accept.
Clothing (Preemie through Kids 14) must follow sale-specific seasonal guidelines. For the Back-to-School sale, only fall and winter apparel is accepted, including Halloween costumes and holiday-specific outfits for holidays occurring August through February. For the Spring and Summer sale, only spring and summer apparel is accepted, including holiday-specific outfits for holidays occurring March through July. All clothing must be in style, in excellent condition, free of stains, holes, rips, tears, or excessive wear, and must include a brand tag. Clothing with multi-letter monograms is not accepted, though single-letter monograms or names are allowed. All clothing must be hung on wire hangers that are wire all the way around. Original manufacturer hangers are allowed only if the item is new with tags.
Accessories and shoes include purses, backpacks, hats, sunglasses, hair accessories, and shoes sized NB through Big Kids 7. Shoes must be clean, scuff-free, and securely attached together using a zip tie, string, safety pin, or bag. Loose shoes in bags are not accepted.
Toys and stuffed animals must be clean, complete, and fully functional. Batteries must be installed and working for any battery-operated items. Accepted toys include, but are not limited to, kitchen sets, Legos, dollhouses, train tables, remote-control toys, bikes, ride-ons, and puzzles. Stuffed animals must be new with tags or like-new, free of stains, odors, or wear, and must be a well-known character or battery-operated. Generic or discount-store stuffed animals are not accepted.
Books are limited to a maximum of 40 per consignor. Series may be bundled, though bundles still count toward the limit. Books must be in excellent condition with no markings, tears, or damage. Use painter’s tape to attach tags and do not bag books.
Baby gear and gadgets include carriers, strollers, cribs, swings, pack-n-plays, high chairs, gliders, bouncers, exersaucers, monitors, bath seats, and diaper bags. Only stainless steel or silicone sippy cups are accepted, along with silicone or waterproof bibs. Unused diapers and wipes are accepted, as well as crib mattress covers, changing pads, and covers that are new only. All gear must be assembled unless new in sealed packaging and must not be recalled. Battery-operated gear must have working batteries installed. Car seats must be crash-free, have at least one year remaining before expiration, and include the month and year of manufacture. Older-style Halo bassinets, including versions 1 or 2 swivel models, are not accepted.
Breast pumps must be in new or like new condition to be accepted. We only accept the following brands: Spectra, Willow, Motif Luna, Haakaa, MomCozy, and Elvie. All pumps must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, include all parts, and be in full working condition. There must be no visible milk residue, discoloration, or buildup. If we can see milk at inspection, the item will not be accepted. Tubing does not need to be included and may be removed.
Furniture includes small table and chair sets, children’s bookcases, toy boxes and organizers, cribs, toddler beds, changing tables, and gliders or rockers. All furniture must be in excellent condition. Décor is accepted only if intended for a child or baby room and must also be in excellent condition.
Outdoor equipment includes playhouses, slides, trampolines, ride-ons, wagons, bikes, scooters, helmets, skis, snowboards, poles, ski goggles, sports gear, pool items, sleds, surfboards, snorkel gear, wetsuits, and life jackets. Large play structures must be securely wrapped with all parts bundled together and must include a printed photo of the assembled item.
Puzzles, games, and art supplies include floor, wooden, and cardboard puzzles, board games, educational, STEAM, and learning toys. Art supplies must be new, with the exception of large equipment. Unopened party supplies and wrapping paper are also accepted.
Items we do not accept include items that are not clean, out-of-season clothing, clothing without brand tags, clothing sizes 16 and up, clothing or shoes in bags, used underwear or socks, burp cloths, bedding or linens unless new in original packaging, maternity or women’s clothing or accessories (excluding diaper bags), pageant dresses or dance costumes, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, magazines, towels unless new with tags, plastic bottles or cups unless new, used pacifiers or teethers, formula or baby food, random grab bags, recalled items including Dock-A-Tot, Snuggle Me, Owlet socks, and Boppy loungers, toys missing parts or batteries, used bath toys with holes, stuffed animals that do not meet character or battery requirements, diaper pails, and training toilets.
Important consignor notes: All inventory must be entered by Friday, July 24 at 11:59 PM. Returning sellers must reactivate old inventory before the deadline. Any tag changes require reprinting, and all items must be checked for recalls through the CPSC. Questions about tagging or pricing should be directed to our Consignor Facebook Group.
